Mill Seat Landfill Safety Rules, Regulatory Requirements and Restrictions
- Trucks must not arrive on Brew Road prior to 6:30am
- No parking on Brew Road
- Landfill operators and scalehouse monitor CB channel 13
- All customers and transporters must comply with Working Face Policy and Procedures (furnished upon request)
- In case of spills, please notify the scalehouse immediately- (585) 512-2465
- All trucks entering and exiting the Mill Seat Landfill, must use I-490 at Exit 2 and must not travel on NYS Routes 19, 33, 33a and 36
- No trucks will be scaled prior to the landfill opening at 7:00am
- All loads must be tarped, secured or tied down prior to entry
- No un-tarping and turn buckles undone at the scales or prior to scales
- Do not use CB radios while on the scales as it interferes with our computer system
- Un-tarp in designated areas only
- Helpers/passengers must stay in vehicle at all times. Only the driver is permitted outside the vehicle
- Please obey site speed limit signs- site speed limit is 10MPH
- Hard hats and reflective/high visibility vests are required to be worn while outside vehicle on working face of landfill
- No scavenging at the landfill
- No one under the age of 16 is permitted outside of the vehicles
- No smoking at the working face or while in contact with trash
- Sweeping out trailers must be done at designated areas only
- Waste Management requires that all vehicles entering the facility must be of legal weight
- All customers hauling special waste must have a valid Part 364 Permit
- All MSW haulers must receive Direct Haul approval prior to use of the facility
