Resources
The educational resources below provide interesting tools for all ages to help increase understanding of the importance of recycling, waste management and environmental stewardship.
Recycling
All residential recycling service provided by Waste Management in Monroe County follows the County guidelines here. The Monroe County Recycling Center now accepts single-stream materials from its hauler customers. Single stream means that paper materials no longer need to be separated from commingled materials--they can all be mixed together in your curbside recycling bin.
For hard to recycle items such as lightbulbs and batteries, visit the Ecopark or send them from home
Waste Management's national Recycle Often. Recycle Right. education program was developed based on national best practices. Visit the campaign website for multimedia resources.
